God's Stage

Tonight when the production of the lunar eclipse begins, I will take a fount row seat.
I remember the last total lunar eclipse, it was a magical night.
I think the whole neighborhood was in their yards, on the street, or on their balconies watching the moon.
The sky was covered in scattered clouds. From behind the clouds, the eclipsing moon keep disappearing and reappearing.
Every time the moon disappeared behind a cloud, the neighborhood let out a collective aahhhhhh.
When the moon reappeared the sounds of applause and whistling filled the air.
This was God’s production, forces of nature were the actors; the sky was the stage, the clouds were the curtains.
The audience was loving the show; their cheers and clapping were aimed toward the heavens.
And I thought, we should do this more often.
We should applaud God’s presentations more often.
When the beauty of a new snowfall takes our breath away;
when the rainbow is radiant in brilliant colors;
when the sound of the song-birds fill the summer evening;
when-ever we are reminded of God’s work,
we should applaud.
We should cheer every bit as loud as we do when our hockey team scores the winning goal.
We should clap as loud as we do at the final curtain fall of an outstanding theater production.
We should not praise God quietly.
We should shout out our praises!
We should let earth and heaven know we love his production.
